Finest quality Acacia wood is inlaid with thin brass wires, using the Tarkashi technique, to create the fan-shaped form of a vibrant Ginkgo Biloba flower. Handmade and hand carved into a long oval shape for convenient use, the tray represents a revival of the centuries old Tarkashi art form.

The Tarkashi collection is a celebration of art, modern design, and heritage craftsmanship; a reiteration of the old in the new.

Dating back centuries, the lost art of Tarkashi was once patronised by Royalty and perfected by skilled artisans with exquisite handiwork. It involves imprinting a paper drawing on wood, hand carving the details to create deep indents, and individually inlaying and hammering thin wires of brass by hand into the grooves to create motifs.
